It's my girlfriend's birthday!
She turned 20 today!

Interesting animation technique!

We watched this episode from Gary and Mike in animation class, which had an interesting bit of animation:

The weird effect is made by big long tubes of clay which are cut at about every eighth of an inch. So every inch is about one second (Feel free to check my math; i didn't)

If you watch the first part with the father pointing with the american flag in the background, you can see the clay behind it advancing each frame.

This was the winner of some competition to show and to capture the youth of New Zealand, and stuff. Very nice.

Alien story

Between heroics, I've been working on developing this new story with a chick and her alien friend who begins following her around:


The girl is called Roslyn. The alien is called Alfredo!

She works in a pizza shop...

There's also (gasp) a bad alien that she has to deal with, who begins following someone else around, I'd have put up more pictures of him but blogger can only take five pictures I guess?



More later? As it develops. I haven't come up with a fully comprehensive story or style yet. We'll see!
